WARNING: The Misty Backpack for Arduino is not a toy and is not suitable for unattended use by children under 14 years of age. It does not conform to the Consumer Product Safety Commission’s voluntary standards for Toys nor does it conform to the ASTM F963 Standard Consumer Safety Specification for Toy Safety. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. If you are under 14, do not provide us with any information. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 14 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information. DO NOT touch the Misty Backpack for Arduino when it (or the robot) is powered on. Doing so may harm the backpack and/or peripheral electronics.

Always power down the Misty II robot and Misty Backpack for Arduino prior to installing or removing the backpack from the Misty II robot.

Always ground yourself before touching the Misty Backpack for Arduino to discharge any electrical potential.

Always consult the Misty II developer documentation before connecting any peripheral devices to ensure sensors, accessory boards, shields, and any other peripheral devices conform to the Misty Backpack for Arduino’s voltage and current requirements.

To prevent damage to the backpack, robot, and/or peripheral electronics, ensure pinouts for any sensors, accessory boards, shields, and other devices you connect to the Misty Backpack for Arduino are compatible with the pinout for the backpack.

Environment
Always store and operate the Misty Backpack for Arduino in indoor, room-temperature environments. Extremely high or low temperatures could damage the product.

DO NOT operate the Misty Backpack for Arduino in explosive environments or areas with combustible liquids, vapors, gasses, or combustible dust.

DO NOT use the Misty Backpack for Arduino near emergency or intensive care medical equipment.

Always use the Misty Backpack for Arduino in dry, indoor environments. DO NOT use the backpack outdoors or in wet environments.

Always check whether use of the Misty Backpack for Arduino is permitted before using it in public areas or in areas of public transport. DO NOT use the product in dangerous, hazardous, or public areas where use is not permitted (i.e. near high voltage power lines, in train stations or airports, or on trains or buses).

Disposal
Discarding the Misty Backpack for Arduino in your general household waste can be harmful to the environment. It is your responsibility to dispose of electronic equipment according to local guidelines and regulations.
