Warning: When using an electrical appliance, basic precautions should always be followed, including the following: READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS.

Warning: To reduce the risk of injury or damage, read and follow the safety precautions in this Legal Guide and the Misty II Reference Manual located at www.mistyrobotics.com/support/manuals when setting up and maintaining your Misty II robot.

Warning: Lithium Ion batteries are extremely hazardous and liable to cause serious injury to persons or property if handled improperly.

The explanations provided in this guide are for informational purposes only and may be modified by Misty Robotics at any time. The most current version of this Legal Guide can be found at www.mistyrobotics.com/legal. Additional warnings, cautions, notes, disclaimers, and information can be found in the Misty II Reference Manual.

Safety and Handling:
Store and operate your Misty II robot in room temperature environments only as extreme temperatures could damage her. DO NOT disassemble the Misty II visor which may contain a 3D depth sensor equipped with a laser; doing so could cause electric shock, burns, eye damage due to active lasers or other safety risks. Never place your Misty II in water, nor place the wired or wireless charging source in or near water as significant risk of electrical shock to yourself or others and damage to the product and chargers is possible. Avoid getting water on or near the wireless charging pad or wired charging brick. To reduce the risk of damage or injury, do not attempt repairs not specified as End User maintenance in the Misty II Reference Manual and only attempt such allowed End User repairs with the Misty II disconnected from wired or wireless charging apparatus. Attempting to service Misty II yourself, beyond what is specified as End User maintenance, will void any applicable warranty and may result in expensive repairs and or calibrations. For all other servicing questions see our website at www.mistyrobotics.com/support or contact us at help@mistyrobotics.com. Always disconnect your Misty II from its power supply cord or wireless charging base before cleaning or maintaining it. For additional information, see “Important Safety and Handling Information” in the Misty II Reference Manual.

Health Considerations:
Misty II is not a toy and is not intended to be used by children; babies and small children as well as pets should be supervised when Misty II is operating. For a list of several other important health matters see “Health Considerations” in the Misty II Reference Manual.

Batteries and Charging:
The lithium-ion batteries in Misty II can be hazardous if mishandled. Please see “Battery Warning” in the Misty II Reference Manual for important usage information. Improper battery use may result in fire, explosion, or other hazard. Do not open, crush, heat above 131℉ / 55 ℃ or incinerate. Do not short-circuit the battery by allowing metal objects to contact battery terminals or immerse in liquid. Do not subject batteries to mechanical shock. Note that discarding any batteries in your general waste can be harmful to the environment. For further information on disposing of Misty II batteries or the Misty II robot, see www.mistyrobotics.com/support or contact your local solid waste authority. Do not use unauthorized chargers. Use of an unauthorized charger could cause the battery to generate heat, smoke, catch fire or explode. The Misty II comes with a region approved power supply cord and is designed to be plugged into a standard household or office AC power outlet only. Do not use any other power supply cord. For replacement cords, please contact Misty Robotics support to ensure proper selection of an appropriate power supply cord. Do not use a damaged power supply cord or plug, or a wireless charging base station with a damaged power cord or plug. If the power supply cord or plug is damaged it must be replaced.

Contact your authorized reseller or distributor from whom you purchased your Misty II for instructions on how to recycle your Misty II.
